Evidence suggests that foods can help conquer moodiness and more serious mood problems such as anxiety and depression. Studies show a dramatic improvement in depression and hostility scores, along with physical benefits, with a plant-based diet. This class will demonstrate mood-boosting recipes participants can easily make at home.
The class will include a video from medical staff at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine explaining the science behind the topic. Following the video we will engage in an interactive, multiple choice quiz to further understand the information covered. Finally, the time remaining will include a cooking demonstration of three recipes. There will be time for Q&A throughout the class and all recipes will be provided in advance along with other informational handouts. Cost:$5
